Sally Fell Catering: from Facebook-only to a proper booking pipeline
A wedding and event catering business in Northamptonshire, previously relying on a Facebook page and word of mouth. We worked with Sally to sort out her positioning and menu copy, then hand-coded a fully responsive site covering services, sample menus, testimonials and an enquiry form.
The result: a site that looks as good as the food, works properly on phones (where most enquiries start), and gives couples a clear next step instead of a scroll through old photos.
Interview Table: coaching, positioned to convert
Interview Table is Hugo's own career coaching business. We built its website around his Discover, Position, Prepare, Perform method, with clear service routes and real, clearly attributed coaching outcomes throughout.
The result: a site that reads as senior and trustworthy rather than generic careers advice, with a clear path from any page to requesting a consultation.

Who's behind it
Meet Hugo and Kiren
Handbuilt Web is run by Hugo and his wife Kiren, based in Northamptonshire. Between them they bring decades of hands-on technology and customer-service experience, the kind of attentive service usually reserved for corporate clients, delivered here without the jargon, the account managers, or the layers of process that can make a simple website feel complicated.
We work with a small number of independent and small businesses across the UK at a time, so every site gets proper attention, and every client gets to talk to the people actually building it.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a website actually cost?
Builds start at £350 one-off for a single page, up to £1,595 for a growth site with booking or ordering built in. Every plan also has a monthly Handbuilt Care fee, from £20 to £75, which covers hosting, your domain, security and minor updates, so there's nothing hidden.
How long does it take?
Most one-to-three page sites are live within two to three weeks of our first conversation. Larger Growth or Bespoke projects typically take four to six weeks, depending on how much content and review time is needed.
What does Handbuilt Care actually include?
Handbuilt Care covers hosting, your domain name, security monitoring and patching, and small content edits such as opening times or replacing a supplied photo. Starter includes 30 minutes of edits a month, Standard 60 and Growth 90, with a two working day response (three on Starter). Your proposal repeats the allowance that applies to you. New pages, redesigns, custom functionality and third-party subscriptions are scoped and priced separately before work starts.
Do you only work with businesses in Northamptonshire?
Not at all. We're based in Northamptonshire and love working with local businesses face to face, but we build hand-coded websites for independent and small businesses right across the UK, mostly over video call, phone and email.
Who owns the finished website?
You do, fully. There's no platform lock-in. If you ever wanted to move on, the site and its code are yours to take with you.
