Who we are
Handbuilt Web is a small web design service based in Northamptonshire, UK, run by Hugo. We are the data controller for the information described on this page. You can reach us at info@handbuiltweb.co.uk.
What we collect and why
The only personal information this website collects is what you type into the free website review form: your name, your business name, your current website address if you have one, your email address and a short note on what you want your website to do. We use it to look at your current online presence and reply to you with our suggestions. If you email, phone or WhatsApp us instead, we hold what you send us for the same purpose.
Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you have chosen to send us. If you go on to work with us, we also rely on the need to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then on the contract itself.
Who processes it
We use a small number of services to run this website and receive your message. None of them use your details for their own purposes.

| Cloudflare | Hosts this website and may process your IP address briefly to keep the site secure and available. |
| Google Fonts | Serves the typefaces on this site, so your browser requests the font files from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. |
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
How long we keep it
Review requests that do not lead to work are deleted twelve months after our last contact with you. If you become a client, we keep your details for as long as we work together and for six years afterwards, because accounting and tax rules require it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it, by emailing info@handbuiltweb.co.uk. We will reply within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
